Overall we have been very pleased with the results of Portrait plasma skin resurfacing.  Yes, there is a learning curve.  As with any machine, the best results come with experience; and you have to learn who not to do. We really like the total skin rejuvenation that can occur with one treatment in most patients (Fraxel and Active FX require 5 or 6 treatments).  Rhytec is in Chapter 7, but we still have plenty of the disposable nozzels necessary to perform the procedure.  Not everyone is a candidate.  For deep wrinkles around the mouth I think the Ultrapulse carbon dioxide laser is the way to go.  Here is  link to more information on Portrait:  http://www.drbentkover.com/procedures/rhytec-worcester-boston.shtml
